Why aren't more women leading?

Because they are learning not to.  It is common to have a good balance of male and female leaders at the middle management level, but once you reach senior leadership, it's obvious that there are very few women at the C-Level.  It's male populated and very intimidating.

The message that is often received is that women aren't welcome in senior leadership.  We all know that's not true, but women will always question themselves first and allow doubt to creep in. This holds us back, which creates a cycle of overthinking and rumination and ultimately ... indecisiveness. Now you've got monkey brain and opportunities are passing you by. You've got to gain control and grow your skills so you can be an Extraordinary Leader.

What lies ahead is not for the faint of heart.  You will need courage, commitment and a desire to achieve. Business has been done the same way for many years and the powers that be are having a hard time accepting that evolution is a natural progression of business. Change is needed and long overdue. Women are simply asking for more seats at the table. We need more balance in the business world and that means including everyone's talents. Women bring a new perspective and a unique set of skills that are urgently needed in today's business world.

Unfortunately, due to the current business climate, many women hold themselves back. Disturbing data shows that women are leaving senior leadership roles and feel that the benefits do not outweigh the risks. There are always challenges, but the only thing stopping a woman from getting what she really wants is herself.  Does she even know what she wants?  I can tell you as an executive coach with a focus on professional women, many do not. They haven't slowed down enough to even think about it and are now facing burnout.

Change The Conversation

The good thing is that tide is turning. Everything is possible. You will have to work hard. You will have to be vulnerable....you will have to be accountable and you will have to be coachable. When you work with me, you get a partner and advisor whose only goal is to see  you succeed and get everything you want. Over time I've worked with and coached many successful women who have attained status in the executive suite and are now thriving and leading with influence.

Since 2012, I have been dedicated to reframing the internal and external narrative on women and leadership. My mission is to inspire, mentor and enable professional women to reclaim their relationship with power and take action through their own brand of leadership. As your coach, I hold space for you to explore yourself and enhance your skills to succeed on your own terms.

The key to leadership success lies in the ability to master your innate emotional intelligence and use it to communicate effectively, inspire action, lead the team, and manage the process.

Hard skills are not enough.

How you behave internally will directly impact how you lead externally.

Your Powerful Mindset

The focus of all of my programs is YOUR leadership mindset, assumptions, sense of identity and behaviors. We grow skills where needed, but to achieve high performance you must develop a conscious awareness and focus your clear intention for leadership excellence.

Each engagement is a relationship based in trust and honesty that will open up deeper conversations exploring what drives you internally. With this clarity you can identify and prioritize goals and develop the behaviors you will use externally. This will enhance:

  • Resiliency - the ability to quickly recover from adversity.

  • Authenticity - the quality of being genuine with an integral (spirit, heart, mind, body) approach to work and life.

  • Mindfulness - the practice of paying attention, making conscious choices and valuing stillness and reflection.

  • Vision and Intention - a compelling direction for one's life and work based on self-knowledge and a desire to bring something into being.

  • Legacy - leveraging wisdom gained for a new way of being and working in the world.
